Driver position

Installed the driver seat, dashbord, and steering wheel (not connected to the wheels yet) to test the driver position.
This also gave me a change to test the brake and clutch pedals. I don't think the clutch needs to modified as flyin miata describes at this time. Mayby when I drive it I change my mind.

My other helper

I forgot to mention him before. Not only my dad is helping me :-)

Fitting the body

Because I did not receive the missing parts of the steering column on time before the holiday of Westfield I test fitting the body, and adapting the shape where needed.
I will have to remove the body again to fit the steering column and some other small parts.

It's Alive

Tested the engine today.
You can see the engine running for the first time on youtube.

Also all the electricals are tested and working, the brakes are bleeded and the handbrake is working. Just some little jobs left before starting on the body.

A very small piece is missing in the kit. In order to be able to connect the clutch a little fixed line of 25cm is needed.

The front brakes are done.
The rear axles are installed.

I hope to get the engine started and tested before the end of this year.
I could not test the egine yesterday because I'm missing a gasket that got broken. And our local Mazda dealer did not have it in stock.

More rebuild parts

For the rear axles I asked a mechanic from our Funcup team to rebuild them because he has the correct tools.
And look how I got the axles back. Don't they look new to you, they do to me? Many thanks to Tom for this excellent job.

another weekend, another update...

What has been done:
Wiring is almost done. So I've starten mounting fuseboxes to the chassis.
Installed new bearing in the rear uprights.
Installed new balljoints in the front suspension.
Installed new Horns.
And finally I've installed the fuel pump.
